What is a dedicated
server?
A dedicated server is a server that is leased to a single customer. The server
hardware, routing equipment, and network connectivity are monitored and maintained
by us while the server software and set up is maintained by the customer.

is a very cost-effective choice - it uses hardware efficiently, and there
are a huge number of free
applications available on the Internet.
Window's integrates well with other Microsoft applications
and there is a wealth of commercial applications available for this platform.
If you wish to host sites using Microsoft technology - such as Active Server
Pages (ASP), Access, ODBC, SQL Server, Frontpage Extensions or Windows Streaming
then the Windows server will be your ideal choice. Also, Windows is better
at handling a large number of websites so if you wish to host hundreds or
even thousands of websites on one server, the Windows server is highly recommended.
If you wish to host sites that require Linux specific features such as Perl
or MySQL then a Linux server is the better option.
Both the Linux and the Windows servers come pre-installed with a unified,
powerful, web based control panel allowing you to instantly start using your
server without any technical knowledge.
